Martigue is in 3 parts : Ferrière, Jonquière and l'Ile.
Ferrière : the first neighbourhood, with the Museum of Martigues History near the Tourist office or the Ziem Museum, popular artist for his paintings of Venice and Constantinople.
The Garden of La Rode offers a great view of the Sainte Victoire and the different cities around the Etang de Berre.
L'Ile is the middle part, with canals, boats, typical houses, the Miroir aux Oiseaux. Several movies were filmed in this area like : "La Cuisine au beurre" with Fernandel and Bourvil.
Jonquiere is the main city center with the market and the nice shopping streets.
