The "Pastré" Castle

The "Pastré" Castle

The Ceramics Museum was opened to the public in May 1995, in the magnificent setting of the 19th century Château Pastré. Situated in the Montredon park, between the sea and the hills further inland, the Château Pastré was built for the famous shipowner-merchant Eugène Pastré (1806-1868) and his wife, Céline de Beaulincourt-Marle.

Restored and refited, the building now allows the exhibition of some 1500 ceramic pieces, covering an historic period of 7000 years.
